The Franwell Tote Portal was developed to enable practical retail use of the rfid> Trace system for pharmaceutical requirements. The Franwell Tote Portal provides store housing for RFID equipment integrated with the system. This compact unit consists of requisite RF hardware enclosed in a durable molded plastic RFID portal. The compact portal is designed to fit conveniently and unobtrusively in a pharmacy or store setting. The portal is both rugged and practical while meeting the sensitivity requirements to read accurately the individually tagged controlled substances containers. (Patent Pending)
