rfid>EnviroSense Software System and Smart Labels rfid>EnviroSense is a software system developed to interface with our environmentally sensitive RFID tags to provide time and temperature sensitive data for the transport and logistics of perishable goods. Maximum value is derived from the information exchange with EnviroSense software when it interfaces with readers at every point of transition throughout the perishable-monitoring supply chain, as well as when it is integrated with client systems throughout the chain.

The tags are actually semi-passive (or, semi-active) smart labels with integrated data processor, memory, clock, and sensor for temperature tracking capability. The sensor integrated into the chip can be configured for differing operation modes to record the first value outside and first value inside the programmed limits, or to record all temperature values outside the limits.
EnviroSense handles a temperature range from minus 15 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees above Celsius, with accuracy to one Kelvin plus or minus, within the range of negative five degrees Celsius to positive 10 degrees Celsius. Temperature can be configured to limits within the normal operating range. Additionally, a humidity sensor having a range of 0 - 100%, with a 1% plus or minus differentiation, can also be incorporated into the tag.
The EnviroSense sensor stores and processes data through its own application-specific integrated circuit. Additionally, EnviroSense identifies product, sorts through the distribution process, controls temperatures through varying climatic conditions, and verifies product information with customer requirements.
Applicable Markets for EnviroSense
Pharmaceuticals - transport and storage of blood bank and transfusion medicine
Chemicals - transport and storage of temperature sensitive chemicals
Perishables - logistics for meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, dairy, floral, etc.
